Temperatures soared to 19.2 degrees yesterday – the hottest November day on record.
Blue skies and sunshine pushed the mercury to a new record high since records began in 1894.
Today is set to be another unseasonable scorcher, but showers are expected over the next two days as the weather starts to look much more like a typical November.
Temperatures are likely to hover around 15 or 16 degrees for the rest of the week
It looks like global warming has played a part in the hotter weather – this is the second year in a row in which the record November temperature has been broken, just last year the new top temperature of 17.7 degrees was set.
Just before 2.30 pm yesterday, the Jersey Met Office confirmed the record-breaking temperature with a tweet:
