Parade Park brawl leaves man “bleeding” from head

A man in his 20s was arrested after fight near a children’s play area that left another with a “bleeding” head injury yesterday afternoon.

Police said they believed that the two men involved in the Parade Park brawl knew each other.

One of the pair – a 6”1 man in his 40s with a shaven head – was left “bleeding” from his head following the fight.

Despite his injury, the man, who was wearing a high-vis jacket and shorts, did not attend hospital.

A 27-year-old, who was described as “5”9 with short blonde hair and… wearing a grey top, shorts and brown work boots”, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of grave and criminal assault.

Pictured: The fight was reported to have taken place at 17:35 by the Parade Gardens children's play area in town.

He has since been released on bail, and Police continue to seek information about the incident.
