A woman in her 50s had to be taken to the Emergency Department after reportedly being hit by a silver Audi as she was crossing the road.
In an appeal for witnesses and more information, Police said the alleged crash happened around 18:30 Friday (28 February) on the junction of David Place and Victoria Street.
"A silver Audi, turning right into Victoria St from David Place allegedly struck a woman in her 50s who was crossing the road at the time. The pedestrian was heading from the direction of town," officers said.
They said the woman was then taken to the hospital with "what were suspected to be minor injuries".
Pictured: Police said they believed that the woman fortunately only had "minor injuries", although she was taken to A&E.
Members of the Force are now hoping to speak to the driver of a car that flashed the Audi, signalling that they could go in front of them, as well as witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage.
Those with information are urged to call 612612 or make an anonymous report via the Crimestoppers website.
