Two islanders in their 60s were taken to A&E after being struck by a car in St. Brelade yesterday afternoon.

A green Ford Fiesta was reported to have collided with a 68-year-old man and a 62-year-old female pedestrian as it exited the Rubis Garage on Rue des Genets around 14:30 on Sunday.

Both were taken to the hospital's emergency department. The female pedestrian remained in hospital overnight for assessments.

Police are now appealing for witnesses.
