Jersey RFC is turning pink to support local charity After Breast Cancer for today’s match against Rotherham Titans at 3 pm.

The club is offering a discount to anyone wearing pink – with entrance reduced to £10 for non-members and £5 for members.

And they are offering pries for ladies attending, with awards for the highest heels, the best hat and best dress.

The Reds, sorry, Pinks, will be looking to follow up their thumping 39-12 win at Nottingham last week with their first win of the season at their home ground in St Peter.

The last game saw Tommy Bell put in a Man-of-the-Match performance with 24 points, and the margin of victory was a Championship record.

The Reds now sit eighth out of 12 teams in the Greene King IPA Championship table, having taken one win, one draw and one loss from their opening three games.

This season is the first full one for coach Harvey Biljon, and he has spoken of the need for the team to assert themselves as a mainstay in the division, having been involved in a relegation dogfight that went down to the final match last season.
