Police appeal after driver shouts "racist" remarks at man

Police are appealing for witnesses after an angry road user shouted “offensive and racist language” to a man in his car.

The incident occurred last Friday between 20:00 and 21:000 on Belmont Road.

Police described the verbal attack, which they are describing as an incident of 'disorderly conduct/hate crime/road rage', in a statement:

“A male driver, whose car was parked, pulled out into the road and another car driving in the opposite direction has stopped, the female driver has then got out of her car and shouted offensive and racist language to the man in his car. The man has tried to speak with this woman who has continued to verbally abuse him.”
