Police appeal launched after dispute between cyclist and van driver

Friday 16 March 2018

Jersey Police are investigating an alleged incident involving the driver of a white Renault Kangoo van and a cyclist, which took place around lunchtime on 14 March on Gouray Hill, and continued along St. Clement's Coast Road.

Police say the incident started on the hill, and that an "altercation" followed, near to the hair pin bend by Gorey harbour.

It is alleged that there was a further incident near to Seymour slip where a passenger in the white van shouted at the cyclist.

The cyclist was wearing a bright orange jacket and riding a road bike. The white van was a Renault Kangoo driven by a male in his 60’s. The male passenger in the van was between 25 and 30 years old.

Anyone who saw the white van or the cyclist is asked to contact the Police on 612612 or crimestoppers 0800 555 111
