Police are appealing for information following a high-speed car crash on Queen's Road last night, which left one man is in hospital and another in police custody.
A black Toyota Yaris, which was travelling down the hill towards town, collided with a silver BMW X5 just before 22:00 on Sunday night.
The Yaris driver had to be cut out of the car by firefighters and was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

The 38-year-old driver of the BMW left the scene before emergency services arrived.
He was later arrested at his home address for dangerous driving, failing to stop and report a collision, and drink-driving.
He was taken to Accident and Emergency, where he was treated for cuts, before being taken into custody, where he remains.
