Police release name of car crash driver

Jersey Police have released the name of the 18-year-old who was seriously injured in a car crash over the Easter weekend.

They say that Fraser Armstrong remains in a critical but stable condition in Southampton Hospital, following the crash on La Grande Route des Mielles, St Ouen, at around 23:00 on Sunday night.

In total, four people, all in the same car, were hurt - all were sixth-form students at De la Salle, and yesterday Tim Silvester, the school's Assistant Head Teacher, extended the school’s “thoughts and prayers” to the four and their families.

“With God’s grace they will make a complete recovery and be back with us soon,” he said.

Two of the students are recovering from their injuries at home, and another remains in "comfortable" condition in Jersey's General Hospital.

The group had been travelling south between El Tico and Le Braye Café in a blue Peugeot 106 when the incident occurred.

Police have since taken statements from a number of witnesses, but told Express they still need more people to come forward.
