Police investigating stolen car hit and run

Monday 23 July 2018

Police are hunting a thief who stole a car overnight before smashing it into a wall and abandoning it in St. Ouen.

The car – a black Seat Toledo – was taken from Mont Grantez, St. Ouen, overnight between Saturday and Sunday.

The illegal driver then crashed the call into a wall, and failed to report that collision.

The car was then found parked along La Rue du Val de la Mare the following morning around 09:00.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the theft or subsequent crash and are urging those with information to get in contact.

They can be called on 612612 or an anonymous report can be made via the Crimestoppers website.
