Police are hunting a hooded vandal spotted scratching the roof of a black car yesterday evening.

The act of “malicious damage” occurred around 17:00 yesterday on Normand Avenue in the area of La Pouquelaye in St. Helier.

Police reported that a darkly-dressed individual approached the car – a black Volkswagen Gold SE TDI – before using an “unknown implement” to scratch its roof.

The perpetrator was described as wearing a black beanie hat, dark hoodie and dark trousers.

They would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident, and are urging those with information to call them on 612612.
