Police seek 4x4 driver over cyclist crash

Police are attempting to track down the driver of a "4x4 type vehicle" that crashed into a cyclist.

The collision took place on La Grande Route de St Martin at the entrance to Maufant Village around 07:30 on Friday (3 January).

Describing the sequence of events in an appeal to for more information, Police said: "A male cyclist in his mid-30s was cycling along La Grande Route de St Martin heading towards Five Oaks when he was struck by a silver car, possibly a 4x4 type vehicle, as it exited Maufant Village. 

"The driver of the vehicle stopped and spoke to the cyclist to ensure that he was ok at the time. The cyclist was unaware at the time that he had injured his foot in the collision."

They are asking the driver of the silver car - or anyone who knows them - to get in touch by calling 612612.
