Police seek footage of pensioner crash

Police are appealing for CCTV or dashcam footage of a crash near a St. Helier pub that left two pensioners injured.

The collision took place on St. Saviour's Road in the area between the Wellington Pub and JSPCA on Sunday (24 November) shortly before 19:00.

Describing the incident and its aftermath, the Force said in a statement: "The collision involved a silver BMW I3 driven by a 72-year-old woman and resulted in injuries to the vehicle’s occupants and significant damage to the vehicle. 

"Both the driver and passenger, an 83-year-old man, were taken to the [Emergency Department] by the Ambulance Service. The woman sustained broken bones but her injuries are not deemed to be life-threatening or changing. The man received minor injuries."

Pictured: Police said the crash happened on Sunday between the JSPCA and Wellington Pub.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the collision and those with CCTV and dashcam footage.

As part of their appeal, they released an image of the vehicle involved, which sustained significant damage during the crash.
