Police are hunting the driver of a car that ran a red light as pedestrians were trying to cross.
In an appeal for more information issued this afternoon, they said the alleged "red light offence" happened around 18:00 on Friday when the dark-coloured vehicle was heading west along the Esplanade.
"The dark-coloured vehicle is stated to have gone through the pedestrian controlled lights on the westbound carriageway next to the Castle Kiosk while the green man was displayed for pedestrians to cross," Police said.
Anyone with more information about what happened is asked to call 612612 or make an anonymous report using Crimestoppers' online form.
