Police are looking for a driver who could have caused a serious accident by driving the wrong way up Victoria Avenue.
A red car was spotted being driven from the West Park junction in the direction of First Tower against the flow of traffic on the carriageway leading into town at around 16:00 yesterday.
A large number of pedestrians and vehicles were said to be in the area at the time, leading Police to claim that the driver’s actions may have “put those in the area at significant risk of harm.”

Luckily, no accidents occurred, but Police are nonetheless keen to find out more about what happened.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, which is being labelled as “dangerous driving”, or may have any information is asked to contact Police on 612612.
