Reds reach British and Irish Cup semi-final

Monday 14 March 2016

Jersey RFC won a tight 15-19 victory away at Bedford on Friday night to book a historic first place in the semi-finals of the British and Irish Cup.

It was Jersey’s third win of the season over Bedford, and the result means a semi-final away at Headingley Carnegie next Sunday at 3 pm.

Chairman Bill Dempsey is already working on setting up an exclusive screening of the match at the JRFC clubhouse.

Jersey’s place in the last four of the cup competition came thanks to three tries from rolling mauls finished by James Freeman.

Jersey currently sit 5th out of 12 teams in the Greene King IPA Championship.
