Retired policeman heading to Royal Court over indecent child images

Friday 07 August 2015

The former policeman facing charges over indecent images of children will be sentenced by the Royal Court.

Peter Philip Whitehouse (56) appeared in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday to hear his case formally remanded to the Royal Court.

He has previously entered guilty pleas to charges.

Mr Whitehouse – who retired from the States of Jersey Police in 2009 – was flanked by prison officers as he sat in court for the short hearing.

He has been remanded in custody since his arrest earlier this year.

No information was given about the date of his first appearance in the Royal Court, or the exact nature of the charges he will face on indictment.
