Royal Court date set for murder trial

Friday 03 August 2018

Three weeks have been set aside next March for the trial of a 54-year-old man accused of murdering a 37-year-old woman in Jersey earlier this year

Jamie Lee Warn also faces two charges of "criminally perverting the course of justice by knowingly and voluntarily giving false information."

It’s alleged Mr Warn killed Hungarian woman Zsuzsanna Besenyei (pictured above) in early May.

She was reported missing on the 10th, and her body was found washed up in Le Pulec Bay, near L’Etacq, six days later. Her car was also found half submerged in St Aubin’s Bay.

Although Mr Warn’s lawyer, Advocate James Bell, asked for Mr Warn to be granted bail, the court turned down the request.
