A 41-year-old man accused of stealing jewellery, cash and other items from a hotel and three homes in St. Helier over four days will face a trial in the Royal Court later this year.
Channing Tornerup, from Mold in Wales, was charged with four separate counts of larceny in the Royal Court on Wednesday 1 June.
Crown Advocate Sam Brown stated that, on 28 March of this year, Mr Tonerup allegedly stole a wireless speaker, wireless charger, toiletry bag and contents from another man while at the Apollo Hotel in St. Helier.
Two days later, he was alleged to have stolen a wallet, cash and jewellery belonging to a woman living in St. Helier.
That same day, Mr Tornerup also allegedly stole a man’s signet ring from a second home in St. Helier.
On 31 March, he is accused of stealing cash, jewellery and watches from a fourth St. Helier premises.
A three-day trial for Mr Tornerup, who is being represented by Advocate Allana Binnie, was scheduled for 7 November. Mr Tornerup will next appear in court on 4 July.
