One unlucky Islander lost out on his lunch yesterday - thanks to a filthy feathered thief!
Jarryd Strover (28) was getting ready to tuck into a Coronation Chicken sandwich when the brutal beaked culprit swooped - leaving him lunchless.
Mr Strover - an Advertising Sales Executive for Bailiwick Express - said that he was used to street crime, having grown up in Johannesburg, but that he was shocked by the brazen daylight robbery.
"I was just minding my own business thinking how nice the weather was," he said.
"All of a sudden, out of nowhere, like a missile hurtling towards me, my sandwich which I had been craving all day got snatched from my paws.
"I’m from South Africa so I'm used to street crime, but this is a whole new level."
