Seven young people were rescued from a broken lift by fire fighters this weekend.
It's believed a mechanical fault left them caught between floors.
According to Green Watch Commander Richard Lyon, the young people, reported to be in their late teens, emerged from the lift very hot and sweaty, but otherwise unharmed. They had been trapped in the lift at a property by the Harbour for approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
This was the second 'lift-related' incident that the Fire Service attended on Sunday, having rescued a young lady from another broken lift in the Bath Street area earlier in the day.
Mr Lyon said: "Normally it's handled by the lift engineers, but if there is any concern for those trapped inside the lift, we attend the scene to help get them out."
