A motorist who drove at 29mph along Havre Des Pas – a road with a 20mph speed limit – has been fined £350 for speeding.
The Magistrate's Court heard that Mark Humber was seen by traffic officers at 22:35 on 3 August, breaking the speed limit in his Ford Mondeo.
It also heard that Humber (56) had a string of previous speeding offences, dealt with at parish hall level.
As well as the fine, Relief Magistrate Sarah Fitz endorsed his licence for three years.
She said: "If you come back here I will see no alternative but to disqualify you."
