St. Mary Constable kicked out but Deputy remains

John Le Bailly has unseated sitting Constable Juliette Gallichan in the Parish of St. Mary - but current Deputy David Johnson has retained his seat.

Mr Le Bailly (pictured above, left) beat the Constable with 423 votes, compared to 398.

Deputy David Johnson (pictured above, right) was returned to his seat with 495 votes. His competitor, Mark Baker, had 309.

Turnout for the Deputy vote was 60%. For Constable, it was 61%.

Constable Juliette Gallichan leaves after more than a decade of service in the States Assembly. She was first elected as Deputy in 2005.

Deputy David Johnson first took a seat in the States in 2014. He will continue for a further four years.
