Tenants compete for gardening glory

Saturday 11 June 2016

Green-fingered tenants who’ve been sprucing up their outside space could be in with a chance of winning another hotly-contested gardening competition.

Landlord Andium Homes, who have launched the competition for the fourth year runnning, will be on the hunt for their favourite and you can vote for your green space too.

Neighours, family and friends can all nominate their favourite and Andium Homes will also be weeding out the best gardens, balconies and patios when they are out and about visiting housing estates this month.

Andium Homes’ Client Engagement Coordinator Sallyanne Lennane said: "This is the fourth year the competition has been held and it continues to grow and grow. Last year the competition attracted 60+ entrants with over 21 prizes being given out to both individuals and communal gardens.

"This year we have simplified the process (hopefully making it fairer) by having no categories. Clients can simply nominate their green space whether it be a balcony, patio, allotment or garden by completing an application form which can be downloaded from the web site or by popping in to our Don Street office.

"We also accept nominations from neighbours, family, friends or even, as with last year, Andium staff."

Entries and nominations have to be in by the end of the month and you can download an entry form here
Judging gets underway next month and the winners will be presented with their prizes at an Awards Ceremony later in the year.
