New headteachers have been appointed at three of the island’s States primary schools.

First Tower, d’Auvergne and Plat Douet Schools have all been appointed new headteachers.

Sam Cooper, who has been appointed as the head of d’Auvergne School, said that he is “absolutely delighted” about his new position. He continued: “The school has an excellent reputation and I intend to build on this. I am looking forward to getting to know the children and their parents, and to working with the staff at this exciting time in the school’s development.”
