Monday 27 June 2016

A three-year-old boy, visiting Jersey from the UK, is in hospital in a critical condition after a collision near the Town Park this afternoon.

Paramedics were called to the scene at 3.51 pm and the victim was brought immediately by ambulance to the Emergency Department at the Hospital, arriving at 4.05 pm. His treatment is ongoing.

Meanwhile the entrance to the Elizabeth Terminal at the Harbour was closed for a period this afternoon, from 1.10 pm, after a car crashed into railings. The male driver was taken to Hospital but his condition was not life threatening. No other cars were involved and the entrance to the Terminal later partially opened to allow vehicles and passengers to board a ferry.
