Tickets are set to go on sale tonight for a "music memorial" to be held next month in memory of a music-loving father and son who were tragically killed in a hit-and-run earlier this year.
The 'Lowe's Legacy Gig' will be held at Chambers on Saturday 25 November as a tribute to Dean Lowe (48) and his 11-year-old son, Charlie, who both died in August after being hit by a vehicle.
A 28-year-old man – who has not been named – was arrested in St. Helier on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and failing to stop and report the collision. He was later released on bail to allow for further investigations to be carried out.

A fundraising page was set up in memory of the father and son, with the aim of "having a positive impact in the island for performing arts" – one of Dean and Charlie's "passions in life".
The page raised over £50,000, and now Dean and Charlie’s passion for music and the performing arts has also inspired the Lowe’s Legacy Gig.
Organised by Alison Blance, Toni O’Flaherty and Zoltan Pallot, this “music memorial fundraiser gig” hopes to “keep the memory of Dean and Charlie alive”.
Attendees of the Lowe’s Legacy Gig can expect “some brilliant live music acts, a Beatles tribute band, ‘Mad-Chester’ mash up, plus a raffle with some great prizes, and lots and lots of dancing and singing!”

The organisers hope there will be "great music" and "lots of dancing" as well as money raised for Dean and Charlie's fund.
There will also be a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses. Tickets will be sold at the event, with the top prizes drawn on the night.
A new group called 'Mad-chester Mash Up' has been formed especially for the gig, and is made up of people who played with Dean in other bands.
The organisers explained: "This [new group] is a mixture of local artists that Dean had performed with, but not all together before until this event.
"They will be headlining the evening and performing songs from the 'Mad-Chester' scene, like The Smiths, Happy Mondays, Stone Roses, and much, much more."

Posting on the Lowe's Legacy Gig event page, Alison explained that the event’s popularity had led to the change in venue from the Lido to Chambers, which she said “has a much larger capacity and more dancing space”.
Toni added: “We just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you who have donated raffle prizes, everyone has been extremely generous and we’re truly blown away.”
Tickets for the Lowe’s Legacy Gig are now available via Eventbrite.
