Pentagon have announced they are closing their timber frame manufacturing operation, but that they don’t expect jobs to go.
The company – which has a total of around 60 staff and which has been trading in the Island since 1977 – says the part of its operation that makes timber frames and trusses for new build homes and extensions is shutting down.
Around nine staff currently work in the department.
Sales Executive Elliot Le Feuvre said that the decision was unfortunate, but that the company was working hard to make sure that the nine staff affected would get other jobs in the business.
