If you have a gripe with the States, you can share it with the team at the very top of government today.
The Council of Ministers is holding the first of its ministerial drop-in meetings at lunchtime and this evening. So if you’re concerned about the Island’s economic future or the state of the health service, the rising population or perhaps the quality of education or the roads, then now is your opportunity to get answers straight from the decision makers.
Chief Minister Ian Gorst will be joined by most of his council, including Senators Lyndon Farnham and Andrew Green, Assistant Chief Minister Senator Paul Routier and Deputies Rod Bryans, Steve Luce and Eddie Noel.
The lunchtime meeting will take place between 1 pm and 2 pm at St Paul’s Centre and this evening’s will be held at Communicare in St Brelade from 6 pm to 8 pm.
Islanders can drop in at any point within those times times and speak personally to the Chief Minister and his team about any issues that concern them.
The Chief Minister, Senator Ian Gorst, said “These community events are an important part of demonstrating openness and transparency in government. Ministers want to communicate directly with the people we are serving, and it is essential that we listen to a diversity of views on the important issues facing us.”
