A 38-year-old plane passenger has appeared in the Magistrate's Court, accused of internally smuggling cocaine worth up to £28,000 into Jersey.
Kerrie Ann Potts was stopped by Customs Officers after travelling to the island from Cardiff on a flight from Southampton on Friday night.
She was arrested and appeared in the Magistrate’s Court this morning, charged with importing 5oz of the Class A drug, which was believed to have a street value of between £20,000 and £28,000.
Customs Officers are urging members of the public with any information to contact them in confidence on 0800 735 5555.
