Trial for man accused of planning to supply cannabis

Sunday 24 April 2022

A 27-year-old man accused of planning to deal cannabis is to face a trial in the Royal Court.

Ian Stuart Richomme denies a single charge of possessing a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply, contrary to the Misuse of Drugs Law.

Appearing unrepresented in the Royal Court on Friday, he entered a not guilty plea.

A two-day trial before the Inferior Number was scheduled for 13 September 2022.

Mr Richomme was granted bail and will next appear in court for a pre-trial hearing on 16 May.

Crown Advocate Lauren Hallam appeared in court to represent the prosecution, and Deputy Bailiff Robert Macrae was presiding.
