Two car smash at Fauvic

Saturday 06 August 2016

It was a busy Friday night for the fire service, as they dealt with a two-car smash, and people needing to be rescued from the sea.

Fire-fighters were called to Fauvic crossroads just after 18:30 last night after two cars smashed into each other. When they arrived, they say the vehicles' occupants were already out of their cars and being treated by paramedics, although no one was seriously injured. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.

In a separate incident, just before 18:00 last night,  Blue Watch had to go to the rescue of two people signalling for help in the sea at First Tower, about 200 metres from the shore. They launched the inshore rescue boat, and quickly brought the pair to safety, where they were treated by paramedics, and were then taken to the hospital for checks.
