A 25-year-old man who caused unnecessary suffering to a cat has been jailed for two months.
Alongside his prison sentence, Jean Luc Pinel was also banned from keeping or caring for an animal for five years.
He pleaded guilty to the offence in the Magistrate's Court last month.
Legal adviser Samantha Morris was prosecuting, with Advocate Chris Baglin defending.
Magistrate Bridget Shaw was presiding.
