Visit Jersey making waves with online marketing campaign

Jersey’s coastline is enjoying its time in the sun as new Visit Jersey video creates a sensation on social media.

Visit Jersey’s video campaign ‘Shoreditch to Shoreline’ documents the live-streaming of a Jersey sunset in London. It was posted on Friday afternoon and over the weekend the video has been a hot talking point on Facebook with over 100,000 views, 2,200 likes, 1,500 shares as well as almost 200 comments.

The video shows the palpable reaction of Londoners as the sunset creates a moment of calm amongst the hubbub of a trendy bar in Shoreditch. The image of the sunset as well as live streams of St Ouen’s Bay and 360-degree panoramas of Jersey’s most impressive landscapes is designed to attract people from the UK to the island.

After the £166,000 re-brand of Jersey Tourism, Visit Jersey is focusing on making Jersey a fashionable holiday destination for a mini-break.

Part of this effort is Visit Jersey’s competition to win a dream Jersey break. The prize includes ‘British Airways flights, a three-night luxury hotel stay for two, a Michelin-starred meal, afternoon tea, wine-tasting and an adventure activity’ of the winner’s choice.

In an interview with CONNECT magazine, Head of Marketing at Visit Jersey, Adam Caerlewy-Smith said: “I’m really confident that this will be the start of great things for the island and that everyone in Jersey will see the benefits of it.” Click here to read the full interview.
