Dog owners are invited to take part in a fundraising walk with their furry friends along St. Aubin’s bay tomorrow at 09:45 in support of local mental health charity Mind Jersey.
The charity says the event is an important fundraiser for them and participants are invited to make a minimum £5 donation and purchase raffle tickets on the day.
Prizes include dog grooming and training vouchers, as well as treats for owners with vouchers for Clarins and travel from Bellinghams. All doggie entrants will also receive a free ‘doggy bag.’
The walk will depart at 09:45 from the first lay-by on the Avenue, west of the Lookout Café.
Cengiz Somay, Managing Director of TMF Jersey – one of Mind Jersey’s 2018 corporate sponsors – said: “Supporting the work of Mind Jersey is really important to us. A number of my colleagues have been able to undertake Mental Health First Aid training delivered by the charity and we have already noted the difference this has made in our workplace.
"It has increased our understanding of good mental health and wellbeing and highlighted just how important it is to prioritise.”
James Le Feuvre, Executive Director of Mind Jersey, added: “We are very grateful for the support that the team at TMF Jersey continue to bring to our charity, both in raising awareness and also invaluable funds.
"One of our key priorities during the year ahead is to bring more support to local children and young people and this additional funding will make all the difference in helping us achieve this goal.”
