Members of the public checking out the RNLI's all-weather lifeboat during a display at the Boat Show had to quickly get off after the vessel was called into action to help a 46ft yacht.
The sailing boat became stuck in fishing gear south of the Minquiers reef on Saturday afternoon.
On arrival at the scene, a small auxiliary boat was launched, enabling the RNLI crew to get close to the yacht and cut the fishing rope away from the rudder and propeller.
The yacht was checked over before it continued on to France.
Today is the final day of the Barclays Boat Show, where the RNLI will be appearing once again.
Islanders are being invited to discover the museum inside the lifeboat station.
They can also view a man overboard demonstration with Jersey Coastguard at 12:15 next to the lifeboat station.
