A seagull has been caught on camera stealing from a local supermarket.
The feathered thief was spotted by Ruth Hewitson, who works in the mailroom next to Morrison's at Castle Quay.
Having spotted the seabird looking shifty outside the store on multiple occasions, she began filming - and managed to catch the shoplifter in the act on more than one occasion.
In Ruth's videos, the avian lawbreaker can be seen waiting for people to leave the store before making a move and swiftly emerging, snack-in-beak.
Video: The naughty seagull at work.
Its favourite treat, it seems, are packets of apples.
The winged wrongdoer then tends to rush across the road, before shaking the packet vigorously to free the fruits of his criminal labour.
In Ruth's videos, islanders can be heard in the background expressing their surprise at the gull's brazen shop dashes.
It's not yet known whether the Police will be investigating further.
