What do you think of the Island's ports?

Thursday 08 June 2017

Islanders are being quizzed over whether Jersey's airport, harbour and marinas are in ship shape, or whether they leave them wanting to fly away.

Consumer watchdog CICRA is asking Jersey residents to speak out on whether they think the quality of the Island’s ports are up to scratch.

They came under the authority of Ports of Jersey in October 2015, who have since managed the air and maritime facilities’ maintenance and services.

CICRA want to find out whether the project has been successful, and what customers value and want to improve most about Ports’ spaces.

The review – which will not consider services offered by airlines or ferry operators – will take the form of an online consultation, but will also be running a number of focus groups.

Louise Read, Director of CICRA says: “Connectivity is vital to island communities such as Jersey; the ease with which people and goods move to and from the island impacts on the success of the local economy.

“Ports of Jersey, as the operator of the airport, harbour and marinas, plays a crucial role. We want to understand what aspects of the services offered at these locations matter most to those who use them.”

Those interested in taking part will have until 6 July to respond.
