Fire fighters have had to cut a 46-year-old woman out of her car by removing the boot, and rear seats, following a three car smash in Jersey this afternoon.
It happened just after 14:30 on La Route de Beaumont, outside the Co-op 'En Route' in St Peter.
Watch commander Richard Ryan told Express what happened:
"On arrival and in consultation with the on scene Paramedics it was quickly ascertained that a female driver was trapped by her injuries. Firefighters got to work with hydraulic rescue equipment creating space by removing the rear seats and tail gate. The casualty was then extricated on a spinal board before being transported to hospital by Paramedics."
RTC by Coop enroute, St Peter, traffic delays likely while we deal, please use alternate route
