Woman discovered at La Haule slip identified

Police officers say they have identified the woman whose body was found on the beach at La Haule this morning.

The woman was discovered in the water by a member of the public at at La Haule slip this morning.

Police and paramedics were called to the area at around 07:00.

Her identity was originally unconfirmed, but police officers said in a short update this afternoon that they now knew the identity of the woman and had told her family. A formal identification process is still to take place, however.

They added that investigations into how she came by her death were continuing.
