Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision that left a 60-year-old woman with several fractures after she was struck by a white van.

The collision was reported to have occurred while the woman was walking along the road at the junction of Rouge Bouillon and Raleigh Avenue around 18:46 yesterday.

The van exited Norfolk Terrace by Raleigh Avenue and turned left onto Rouge Bouillon at the time of the incident and failed to stop, continuing instead towards Midvale Road.

The woman was left lying in the road and suffered a number of fractures to her upper body. She was still in the intensive care unit on Friday afternoon and was described to be in "stable condition."

Police also want to speak to anyone who witnessed the accident or was in the area of Rouge Bouillon at the time of the collision and who may have a dash cam or helmet cam footage.

In a separate appeal, the Police want to speak to a woman who was walking a Jack Russell terrier between 17:30 and 18:00 yesterday around La Mare car park in St. Clement "as a matter of urgency." The dog walker was wearing a white puffa jacket and blue jeans at the time of the incident.

A van exiting the car park allegedly clipped the dog, which was being walked on an extended lead. The driver immediately got out and spoke to the dog walker and confirmed the dog was uninjured.

Witnesses of the Rouge Bouillon collision or anyone with information about the dog walker can contact Police on 612612 or anonymously at Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
