Woman jailed for two counts of grave and criminal assault

Friday 07 June 2024

A 27-year-old woman has been sentenced to four years and eight months in prison for two counts of grave and criminal assault.

Gabrielle Linstead's victims both required hospital treatment for their injuries.

The 27-year-old committed the first offence in July 2022 at a private address in St Helier during an alcohol-related incident and was arrested that night.

The case did not progress at the time, but was later re-opened.

Whilst on bail for the first assault, Linstead assaulted a second person in October 2023 and was arrested.

Following two separate investigations, she pleaded guilty to both charges.

The Royal Court today sentenced Linstead to four years and eight months in prison.
