Women's football no longer on the bench

Sunday 12 March 2023

Jersey Bulls FC is seeking financial backing to launch a new women’s team for the 2023/2024 season, which is hoped to encourage opportunities for higher level sports amongst local women.

Although there are two male teams playing for the club in the FA Youth Cup and the Combined Counties Premier South Division, there is yet to be a women's team seen sporting the Jersey Bulls FC shirts.

The club hopes that a new women’s team could inspire a "more inclusive and diverse sporting community" for all ages and therefore develop overall women’s football in the long run on the island.

However, this will only be possible if the Jersey Bulls FC gain sponsors who share the same passion for expanding the prospect of women in sports and who are just as dedicated to modernise the footballing community.

As well as benefitting aspiring female footballers and updating old-fashioned views on the sport, the club promises to "raise their profile" of involved sponsors.

If you are a business or individual who would like to offer sponsorship money to build-up the team and make this milestone target a reality, then you can contact the club at women@bulls.je.
