A new weekly flight to Bristol is taking off this summer.
BMI regional will be flying to and from the Island every Saturday from 16 July.
The 45-minute flight takes off from Jersey at 1.45 pm each Saturday until 3 September with fares starting from £80 one way or £125 return, inclusive of 20 kg of hand luggage, complimentary drinks and snacks on board and a speedy 30 minute check-in time.
Ports of Jersey’s Group Commercial Director Myra Shacklady said: “This is a great opportunity for inbound visitors as well as local residents to take advantage of an additional peak summer service.
“Although this is a short programme the airline is keen to test the Jersey market and if the Bristol service proves to be successful we hope to strengthen our relationship with them in looking at additional destinations.”
BMI's Chief Commercial Officer Jochen Schnadt said: “Bristol is a major UK hub for us with our existing routes performing well both with business and leisure customers. With our stated ambition to offer relevant products for our customers trying to evolve our product offering in line with our many loyal customers’ demands, we are delighted to be offering this seasonal service on this highly sought-after route.
"As customary with bmi regional, our customers will experience the usual quality, professionalism and high level of service that travellers on our existing routes have enjoyed for years.”
Flights to and from Bristol are on sale now.
