Young footie stars get post match analysis from the big screen

Saturday 11 June 2016

A team of young footballers have been watching themselves in action on the big screen and getting some post-match analysis.

The boys from the Brazilian Soccer School's under 12 football team joined their coaches and mums and dads at the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel to watch a replay of their match against Nottingham Forest Academy.

It was the first time they'd got to see themselves playing competitively and was a chance for coaches to analyse their skills on the pitch.

Brazilian Soccer Schools Jersey Director Will Partington said: ‘”The boys displayed fluidity and freedom of movement, whilst switching between playing possession and counter attacking football. It was fantastic to see such a positive and technically superior performance from the lads, enabled by years of devotion to our core skills.”

Last year Radisson Blu donated £2,000 to help the Club roll out its Skills Badge Scheme to help youngsters improve their core soccer skills, from core dribbling to passing, juggling and free style kicks. It also helps to develop players' mental strength and fitness.

Mr Partington said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to Radisson Blu for supporting our Skills Badge Scheme, and for providing us with the facilities to show our match against Nottingham Forest Academy. The boys were all thrilled to see themselves and their teammates in action whilst the experience will be valuable for their future development.”

Radisson Blu General Manager Christopher Peach: ‘I am delighted that we were able to continue our support of the Brazilian Soccer School and offer our facilities to assist the team and its coaching staff. It was a great opportunity for the children to share their achievements with their parents, and I’m sure the experience will help the team to improve even more before the next game.”
