A 20-year-old has pleaded guilty to importing over 2,000 ecstasy tablets into the island.
Aiden James Brookfield-Dean admitted importing the substantial sum of Class A MDMA tablets into Jersey in the Royal Court on Friday.
The offence, which saw the young man caught at Elizabeth Harbour, took place on the 23 April this year.
Crown Advocate Conrad Yates noted the seriousness of the offence, given the volume of drugs involved and asked the Bailiff, presiding, to hold Mr Brookfield-Dean in custody ahead of his sentencing.

Mr Brookfield-Dean was represented by Advocate Jane Grace, who made no bail application on behalf of her client. He was therefore taken into custody.
The 20-year-old is now due to be sentenced by all of the island's Jurats, who are only called to hear the most serious offences when a sentence of more than four years’ jail-time could be imposed.
Mr Brookfield-Dean will be back in the Royal Court for sentencing on 12 December.
