After the Republic of Ireland released a 'green list' of places travellers can visit and not self-isolate on their return this morning, a Jersey resident is questioning why the Channel Islands have been missed off.
"Dear Chief Ministers of Jersey and Guernsey,
With Irish people itching to go on holiday, and with the fanfare both of you claim for successfully controlling the virus, isn't it disappointing that neither of these island archipelagos make it on to Ireland's 'green list' whilst Gibraltar Monaco and San Marino do?
I am sure opportunity is being lost by the beleaguered tourism industries of both islands for badly needed revenues from Irish tourists, and, having just spent a few days in Co Kerry visiting my mum, I am sure that people from these islands would reciprocate."
Ian Kenny,
St. Lawrence.
