Viewership figures revealed that 1.1 million watched Peter de Sausmarez discuss his family home, Sausmarez Manor, and saw the Petit Train take guests around Guernsey.
Thursday’s first episode also showed eighth-generation Jersey farmer Phil Le Maistre use a 100-year-old hand plough to harvest the season’s Jersey Royals.
The show, which Visit Guernsey also worked on, promised to “delve into the lives of some of the islands’ most colourful residents” as they prepare for the “busy summer ahead”.
Coming episodes will feature appearances from Guernsey’s animal rescue charity, the GSPCA, makers of Jersey’s La Robeline Cider, the Jersey Tea Company, and the Sprouts Farm Club team.

Visit Guernsey said the six part series will be “celebrating the stunningly beautiful Channel Islands”.
The promotional body for Guernsey’s tourism sector has been working with the production crew over recent months, including introducing them to “some of our islands’ wonderful residents whose families have lived here for generations”.
