The 2026 edition of Ian Brown’s 30 Rides in 30 Days launches at Oatlands on Saturday morning.

The 08:00 meeting will signal the start of this year’s community challenge, which has raised nearly £1.2 million for Les Bourgs Hospice since its inception 19 years ago.

There’s an extra element to the fundraising as this year’s challenge also coincides with the 35th anniversary of Les Bourgs Hospice.

Participants commit to cycling for one hour every day for 30 days, finishing on Sunday 1 June, which is the date for the annual ‘Rocque to Rock Cycle Ride’, another key fundraising fixture for the hospice.

Ian Browns’s initiative began back in 2008 with 34 participants, and has since grown into a significant local fundraising effort.

79 people have already registered for the 2026 event, including Les Bourgs CEO Rob Jones, who is entering his third consecutive year in the challenge.

The 2026 launch is also supported by event sponsor Specsavers, with tomorrow’s welcome breakfast hosted by the team at The Kiln.
