There will soon be the rare opportunity to visit the private island of Jethou, with an ‘Open Day’ being held on Saturday 16 August to raise money for Les Bourgs Hospice.
Tickets cost £65 per person (over 18s only), and include your return boat trip on the Herm Trident, time to explore Jethou, and a baguette lunch in Sir Peter Ogden’s Manor Garden.
There will also be a Pimm’s bar, with one free drink from the Liberation Group at Jethou’s ‘pub’ and the opportunity to buy more.
To get your hands on tickets you’ll need to be ready on Monday 16 June, when they go live on ticketsource.co.uk, with a maximum purchase of four tickets per person.
The trip will also feature a few other opportunities to support Les Bourgs beyond the ticket price, with an exclusive raffle on the day, with prizes including a 25-minute helicopter ride for six people.

If you’re feeling lucky, you can enter a separate raffle to win four tickets for the Jethou Open Day (worth £260),with raffle tickets costing £5 each.
They can be bought from the Les Bourgs Hospice charity shop or Health Connections shop in Market Square. The raffle draw will take place on Monday 30 June.
Les Bourgs Hospice is an important, independent charity in Guernsey. It provides essential 24/7 palliative care to people in the Bailiwick who are facing life-limiting illnesses, including cancer, respiratory disease, kidney disease, and more. It costs about £8,000 a day to operate.
The charity has relied on a wide spread of local support to help bring the Jethou Open Day to life, and have thanked 32 companies, as well as a special thank you to Sir Peter Ogden, who is opening up his Manor’s Garden to host the event.
